Got questions?

What’s FDIC anyway, and why should I care?

FDIC insurance, backed by the US government, protects your deposits up to $250,000 per account type at each FDIC-insured bank. This means your money is safe, in case of a bank failure. Every account you open with Adro is FDIC-insured through Stearns Bank N.A., Member FDIC.

What’s the difference between checking vs. savings?

Checking accounts are great for everyday transactions like purchases, bill payments, and cash withdrawals from an ATM. Savings accounts are better for storing extra cash, like an emergency fund or for a flight home.

How does Adro help me save on international transfers1?

When you deposit $2,500 or more into your Adro account for at least 90 days, we’ll pay a bonus of $10 or more. Deposit $50,000 for at least 90 days, and we’ll boost your savings with a $250 bonus. It’s our way of making international transfers more affordable.

Can I hold multiple currencies in my account?

Adro accounts hold US dollars only. If you’re sending money from your home country via ACH or wire transfers, the money received in your Adro account will be in US currency.

Do I need to open both accounts if I only need checking?

You can choose to open one or both accounts, the decision is up to you.
